Why Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is the method of natural healing most chosen by those seeking complementary/alternative health care for acute and chronic conditions. To simplify a complex process, Chiropractors are tapping into the recuperative abilities of the body by restoring the relationship between a properly aligned spinal column and a well-functioning nervous system.

One of the best things about receiving chiropractic adjustments is that they are a completely drug-free path to healing the body naturally.

When you visit a Doctor of Chiropractic, you will be evaluated using time-honored methods, including consultation, case history, physical examination, laboratory analysis and X-ray examination.

In addition, you will receive a careful chiropractic structural examination, with particular attention paid to the spine.

A broad range of techniques are used to locate, analyze and gently correct vertebral misalignments (subluxations) in the spine. Chiropractors may use manual adjustment, electrical muscular stimulation, ultrasound or massage — but they never use pharmaceutical drugs or invasive surgery.

Chiropractic is a natural method of healing that stimulates the body’s communication system to work more effectively to initiate, control and coordinate the various functions of the cells, organs and systems of the body.

Digital Motion X-ray (DMX®) is a powerful diagnostic tool that allows us to treat the source of injury, not just the symptoms.

Advanced Technology Delivers a More Accurate Diagnosis

Atlas Chiropractic employs Digital Motion X-ray (DMX®) technology that enables us to diagnose and treat injuries which are not easily detected using traditional X-ray or MRI.

What Is Digital Motion X-Ray?

DMX® is a revolutionary X-ray imaging system, coupled with new digital and optic technology, that allows clinicians to view the upper, middle and lower spine on a video monitor while the patient moves. In effect, DMX creates an X-ray movie of real-time motion at the speed of 30 X-rays per second.

The procedure is performed with the patient standing and actively moving, or sitting and actively moving, depending on which part of the spine is being studied.

Avoid Surgery With Spinal Decompression

What is non-surgical spinal decompression therapy?

Non-surgical spinal decompression is a type of motorized traction that helps relieve neck and back pain. Spinal decompression works by gently stretching the spine. That changes the force and position of the spine. This change takes pressure off the spinal disks — gel-like cushions between the bones in your spine — by creating negative pressure in the disc.

As a result, bulging or herniated disks retract, taking pressure off nerves and other structures in your spine. This promotes movement of water, oxygen, and nutrient-rich fluids into the disks so they can heal.
